Welcome back to MYN for another Progressive Saturday! I hope you all are enjoying summer time, and are ready for some more trance and progressive. This week we will be hearing tracks and remixes from Dash Berlin, Tiesto, Dennis Sheperd, Vlad Captivity, Niko Zografos, and Afternova. Time for some music!
This week we will be starting with a remix that honestly does the original justice, and that’s saying a lot. Motorcycle’s (Gabriel & Dresden’s alias) classic “As The Rush Comes” has been remixed by Dash Berlin, and the best of both worlds are really present. The amazing melodic trance sounds and lush vocals of the original from Motorcycle suck you in, and the world crushing bass whine lead from Dash Berlin blows you away. I was honestly speechless the first time I heard this, there isn’t room for any other sound. Just enjoy this one.

I honestly didn’t expect to be putting any new Tiesto on Progressive Saturdays anytime soon. That’s not to say his new music isn’t good, it just isn’t old Tij. That being said I really like his new track “Take Me” featuring Kyler England. The vocals are one’s I would associate more with a progressive trance track, so they stood out the first time I heard it. The piano in the breakdown is fantastic as well as the cutting up of the vocals in the latter half of the track, creating a cool rhythmic effect. All you producers out there, this track is ripe for a proper trance remix!

Up next is Dennis Sheperd’s remix of “Tempted” by Markus Schulz featuring Sarah Howell’s. The original is great, and Sheperd builds on a solid foundation by adding a bit of intensity and techiness to the mix. Give it a listen!

Ukrainian Producer Vlad Captivity is up next with his remix of “Backdraft” by Tucandeo. The remix highlights the dark and progressive nature of the original track, while adding in some acidy tech trance flair. Stay on the lookout for Vlad Captivity, he is very talented.

San Francisco DJ and Producer Niko Zografos is back with his latest track “Haste”. The track is dark and epic and very nicely put together. The bass in the build up to the breakdown sounds great, and the lead in the chorus is truly massive. Here is “Haste” by Niko Zografos.

Time to end with some melodic and uplifting trance! “Tranquility” by Afternova is one of those truly beautiful tracks, full of emotion and perfect for summer. You can definitely hear Afternova’s orchestral film background during the breakdown of the track, amazing violin and reverbed penny whistle sounds. Enjoy!
