For this fine Super Bowl filled Sunday Funday I wanted to tell you guys a little bit about one of my favorite artists of the moment, Disclosure. These guys quickly made a name for themselves last year, so if you don’t know them, hopefully you’ll get a little more insight into who they are and realize that this is definitely music you need.
Disclosure is made up of two brothers, Guy and Howard Lawrence, who hail from Riegate, Surry in the UK. They’re young, and the only thing that means is that they have a long ways to go. They already burned up the dance charts last year with hit singles like “Latch ft. Sam Smith,” “What’s In Your Head,” and their remix of Jessie Ware’s track “Running.” All this hard work and success has led to huge gigs coming up for them, like double weekends at Coachella, a tour of the U.S., and a full length album to be released sometime around March/April of this year. It’s always great to see success stories in the world of house and dance music, especially when it’s someone going about things in their own way and people responding so strongly. These guys have definitely created a name for themselves with a super fresh sound that combines beautifully strong vocals, warm synths, and a groove to each track that is absolutely undeniable, ultimately making you want to get up and dance. If you didn’t know who these guys were, now you do, and you should keep an ear out for future stuff from this young duo.
