Hey everyone, welcome back to another edition of Tipsy Tree Thursdays. This week I’m featuring the Slovakian duo Soundnoids. They may be young, but their music production ability is not. They pull influences from synthpop, ballads, house music, trance, dnb and electrorock.
The first is an original by Soundnoids called The Killer. It’s brand new and I am in love with this track. The reason I mentioned their influences above is because you’ll see all sorts of influences from different genres in their tracks. The Killer has a minimal, yet dubstep feel to it with some trance synths overlaying. It then crescendos into a heavy, dirty dubstep finale. I love the guitar work throughout. My only criticism is the moaning female samples. Maybe a few less of those. Give it a listen below!
The next track is a remix of Mike Oldfield’s Tubular Bells. This drum and bass remix is awesome. I love the piano work interlaced with the heavier synth lines. Again the guitar work in this track is impressive and really enhances the sound. It’s a free download, so grab it while it’s hot.
Now here’s some really cool stuff. Soundnoids made a cover of Joy Division’s Love Will Tear Us Apart. They completely redid the song with original vocals and background music. It’s very kraftwerk-like and is really well done. It’s a free download, so grab it and toss it into your party music rotation.
The last song is an original of theirs called Autumn Rain. This dance remix is happening! It’s upbeat, has a trance feel to it, and is ready to be put into any mix. I think the melody is what really stands out in this instrumental. It’s full of stabs and is uplifting. Great track, give it a listen below.
I can’t wait to hear more from these guys. Make sure you give them some love below.
