For this weeks installment of Sunday we’re gonna take a look at two duo’s who are doing work and making a name for themselves all in the name of house music. Both of these groups are turning the heat up and they are showing no signs of slowing down. They both hail from the UK as if there’s any surprise there and as they garner recognition for their productions they are ramping up the amount of places they are playing and it’s hard to miss them in most house/tech house mixes being thrown down these days. These guys all are too talented and you need to know who Mak & Pasteman and Waifs & Strays are so read on.

Mak & Pasteman
Mak and Pasteman were previously known for their work as separate DJ’s, but after they teamed up they have quickly gained respect as a duo and are doing more and more together as a result. Their sound isn’t confined to genre as they work in the realms of house as well as bass-driven music that’s more garage-esque, which really just means they are creating the future of house/tech house music as we speak. They are well known for their original productions such as their Give It Up EP released through Anabatic, as much as their many remixes and bootlegs for the likes of everyone from up and comers Disclosure to R&B songstress Cassie. These guys are not bound by one sound and it’s working for them. Don’t expect these guys to go away anytime soon because they are the future, now!

Waifs & Strays
Waifs and Strays, consisting of Amos Nelson and Rich Beanland, like Mak & Pasteman worked their way up the ladder of dance music separately taking their own paths and eventually finding eachother and creating this dastardly duo. They have released originals and remixes through the likes of everyone from Leftroom and Hot Creations to Futureboogie and Get Physical. They are purely house, but damn do they do it well and they are definitely the future of house music today as much as Mak & Pasteman and anybody else out there right now for that matter. They are truly masters of their craft and if you don’t know who these guys are check out their tracks so you know what you’ve been missing out on.
