This EP from French Fries has only been out for a matter of days but the tracks are on fire and are already being played out by the likes of the Dirtybird crew (of course) among others. The two tracks are the definition of pure gold, quite fitting seeing as how the EP cover is full of that. The title track “Space Alarm” is basically that; it’s a super synthy, beat-heavy track with the most twisted and tweaked alarm sounds possible set against a backdrop of throbbing bass. The second track “Smoke Wine” is more of a slow burner but once the drums hit it’s an all out assault on the senses. That is until the track slows down and the bass line comes in nice and slow to take it back down and induce a full on dance floor grind sesh. In addition Justin Martin and GoldFFinch had the honor of doing remixes and they did quite a number on the tracks. All around a solid (gold) EP. Do yourself a favor and grab this one now!
