ThursdayKoolKat Tipsy Tree Thursdays! w/ Kool Kat

Welcome back to another edition of Tipsy Tree Thursdays here on musicyouneed.net.  This week I’m rocking to the halftime beats in Texas with San Antonio native Gabriel “Kool Kat” Rivera.  Kool Kat is a 22-year-old DJ and producer that was classically trained in violin and piano as a kid.  This really shows because his production is excellent.   He has also opened up for acts like Crizzly. Let’s jump to the music.

Kool Kat has an upcoming release on Beatport of a remix of Featherz’s Quill.  Kool Kat busts out the electro house inspired moombahton that delivers some shoe moving beats while a floaty synth creates a melody.  It’s out in November by Frontzide Records.

Kool Kat has a more reggae inspired moombahton remix of Skrillex and Damian Marley’s Make It Bun Dem.  I love the flow of the track.  It will keep people dancing and has some drops that will build anticipation from the crowd.  It’s a free download, so grab it and spin it at house parties.

Moombahton not your thing? Here’s a dubstep remix of Sanna Hartfield’s Baby Don’t Go.   This track features more vocals than the other remixes I’m featuring today, so it’s nice to see how Kool Kat provides a solid background vibe to support the song.  This definitely has some drumstep influences, which I like. I think it adds something exciting to the track.  The track is supposed to be out, but I can’t find it on Beatport.  Hopefully I can get some direction and I’ll point you guys to where you can purchase it.

Continuing the genre hop game, here’s a trap bootleg combining Rusko and Cypress.   It’s a full on trap song and will slide in nicely with any set that you want to see some booty shaking.  It’s a free download too, so click below!

Want a mixtape?  Check out Kool Kat’s Unreal Blasterz Vol. 1.  It’s full of moomba, dubstep, electro house, and some trap influences.  I love the Mat Zo – Bipolar track.  It’s a free download, so grab it for your next gym visit.

Kool Kat definitely has some great work out there right now and I only see amazing things coming from him in the upcoming years.  Give him some love at the links below.
