Steven Ellison, aka Flying Lotus, shows off the chiller, more relaxed side of his jazzy, experimental electronic music in Until the Quiet Comes and with most songs lasting under 3 minutes, the album keeps listeners engaged throughout the entire journey.
The full album will be available for download October 2 on Warp Records. Flying Lotus kicks off his North American tour in NY at the beginning of the month and makes a stop in Oakland at the Fox Theater on the 25th if you’re lucky enough to be in the area.
Take a listen to my favorite track off of the new album, The Nightcaller (24:30), which has the funkiest and most upbeat sounds of the album. If you have the time, stream the entire thing and listen to more tracks like Electric Candyman which samples Thom Yorke of Radiohead.
