Miguel Campbell is a man that caught my eye, or ear rather, recently with his BBC Radio 1 Essential Mix, but he first grabbed the attention of Jamie Jones and Lee Foss and there has been no turning back since. This most recent release features two tracks “Rockin’ Beats” with a remix by the rising star Shadow Child, and “Not That Kind Of Girl” with a remix by MAM. “Rockin’ Beats” is a spacey disco fueled track that just bangs; if this track doesn’t get you moving then there’s something seriously wrong with you. “Not That Kind Of Girl” is a more dubby track based in the sounds of house music. Both these tracks are hot, but that really comes as no surprise when you’re talking about anything that comes from Hot Creations.
