Welcome back to another edition of Tipsy Tree Thursdays. This week I’m featuring another young producer by the appropriate name of Jeremy Little. Jeremy is based out of Washington, DC and is only 16 years old. He’s been producing for about 9 months. He hasn’t played any live sets yet because of his age, but that’ll soon come. He uses FL Studio and Ableton Live to produce and is looking at learning some Cubase as well. Enough chit chat, let’s get to the music.
Jeremy’s latest track diverges from his normal dubstep roots and dives right into progressive house territory. A New Era is a house tune that takes you on a journey. It starts with a DJ-friendly snappy kickdrum that builds into some solid house. He said that he learned a lot about house music while making this track and it’s the first time he’s used side chaining. The track has some tech house influences with it’s breakdown having spoken word in it. It’s a fee download, so grab it while it’s hot.
Jeremy’s Slight Delay reminds me of Daft Punk’s soundtrack pieces for Tron. This song has a lot of energy in it and uses strong, constant leads to give the track a larger than life feel. Jump on your lightcycle and plug in this track.
Katy Perry had the huge hit song E.T. last year and it’s good to see Jeremy tackle some vocals. Instead of grabbing a hook and repeating it every 5 seconds, Jeremy utilizes nearly the entire chorus and verse line. I love Jeremy’s style and it really enhances this song. It’s also a free download, so get it now.
Jeremy’s next song is titled Murmur. It’s a dubstep track that reminds me of Datsik’s Evilution and that’s great because it’s an amazing song. This is definitely a wobble bass track and showcases some strong dubstep that a DJ can utilize in their set. It’s a free download, so check it out below.
If you want more of an epic tale, check out Jeremy Little’s original, Ideal. It’s a full bodied EDM track that I wouldn’t be surprised to hear Mars Volta play live. It’s rich and just screams night-ending track to me. Like all of Jeremy’s track, it’s a free download.
Jeremy is currently working on a dubstep original that should be out soon. He pours a lot of emotion into each of these tracks and it’s obvious that he is going to be a prominent figure in EDM in the next years. Give him some love below at his SoundCloud so you can be the first to have his music in your life.
