The classic UK grime and dubstep group Foreign Beggars have a special treat for all of us. They have just dropped their new EP titled Flying to Mars in preparation for their upcoming album The Uprising, that features some of the best bass music you’ll hear around. To sample the EP, we’ve provided a video of the single Flying to Mars from the compilation that is eerie and thick, with some dope lyrics. Check it out below, and a little more on the EP as well:
“The group–MCs Orifice Vulgatron and Metropolis, and DJ Nonames–has built a revered reputation over the last decade for their versatility, prolific creativity and high-octane live shows. They’re set to unveil their new albumTHE UPRISING this September on deadmau5’s mau5trap imprint.
FOREIGN BEGGARS recently released their Flying To Mars EP (July 2) featuring the Alix Perez-produced,Donae’o-assisted track. Philip Sherburne of SPIN.com says of the track; “Foreign Beggars take their wobble back underground: The low end is a gelatinous rumble more felt than heard, freed from all the hard-edged excess of contemporary main-stage dubstep. MCs Orifice Vulgatron and Metropolis’ tightly wound verses lend to the paranoid air…”
THE UPRISING will include singles “Palm Of My Hand,” “Flying To Mars” and “Apex” featuring Knife Party. The infectiously brazen swagger of “Palm Of My Hand”–available for download now on all digital stores including Beatport and iTunes–is a bold statement of intent, and one which the group are set to firmly substantiate with their next offering. Having garnered support from some of the biggest bass artists today, including previous collaborations with Skrillex, Noisia and Flux Pavilion, FOREIGN BEGGARS are currently performing well over 100 shows a year.”
