This week we’ll take at look some artists that I’ve been listening to as of late per a friends suggestion. The first group, Blond:ish, are two blond girls throwing it down and doing their thing in the world of deep house/house and the second group, Kraak & Smaak, are a trio of producers who have an eclectic library of tracks that can’t really fit into one or two genres.
Blond:ish consist of Anstascia and Vivie-Ann, two gorgeous blond girls throwing it down and doing their thing in the world of deep house/house music. Their sound consists of slow and sexy bass lines with some psychedelic sounding layers added on top and occasional vocals that finish off a track to create their unique sound which has been getting them attention all over the world for the past couple years. I know I’ve said it before but I’ll say it again, the fact that this is two girls is awesome to see because in the male dominated world of DJ’s things can get stale and having a female perspective brought to the table production wise freshens things up; it also doesn’t hurt that these two are also really, really good looking. With that said I think you’ll appreciate the sound that they’ve cultivated, but don’t take my word for it; check it out for yourself.

Kraak & Smaak
Kraak & Smaak are a trio of DJ’s/producers from the Netherlands that make a wide range of styles of tracks that include elements from house, nu-disco, and funk. They got together around 2003 and by 2005 released their first album Boogie Angst. At this point they have released three full length albums and have remixed everyone from the likes of Moby to Fedde Le Grand to Jamiroquai and have played festivals the world over. These guys are really talented and their live show is supposed to be unparalleled. If you haven’t heard of them check them out now.
