Tuesday1 Turn It Up Tuesdays w/ Kraddy, Virtual Boy, and Apparat

Welcome back to Turn It Up Tuesdays. Let’s blow the cob webs out of those dusty old speakers and piss off the neighbors a little bit this week. Crank that volume up to the high-end and get ready to experience a few new artists.

Kraddy

Being one of the four founding members of The Glitch Mob with Ooah, edIT, and Boreta, Kraddy is no stranger to the electronic music scene. He left the group in 2009 to pursue his own musical interests and has since had a few great solo releases. He produces some of the best glitch hop and dubstep, although he crosses many genres with his style. We have his most recent album from 2011, Anthems of the Hero as well as the Anthems of the Hero Remix Project EP.

Virtual Boy

Virtual Boy is a two-piece experimental electronic music group based in Los Angeles, CA. Their stylishly oddball set of influences is what happens when two talented young classical musicians discover their shared passion for dusty vintage synthesizers, new electronic-music genres, classic formal wear, and girls that look like they could star in a ‘60s Godard movie. Owing as much to Bach and Mozart as they do to Ratatat and evoking Air as much as Nosaj Thing and The Glitch Mob, Virtual Boy developed their own signature sound while producing their weekly composition assignments. We have a video and a few tracks from their debut self-titled album released earlier this year.
