I wanted to start highlighting some artists on a regular basis in these posts so you guys can follow what these artists are doing and get to know them as well as I do. This week I wanted to bring your guys attention to a man that goes by the name of The Magician and I think it’s safe to say that is exactly what he does; he doesn’t play or make music, he does magic. His unique nu-age disco sound is so upbeat and fresh; his own productions are awesome and everything he touches (his remixes) turn to gold. Interestingly enough, he comes from another disco production duo (that I also highly recommend) named Aeroplane that he founded in 2007, and eventually in 2010 he left to pursue a solo project and this is the result. One of the most interesting projects that he works on currently are his mixes appropriately dubbed Magic Tapes. These so called magic tapes come out every month and the best part is people are always excited to hear these tapes because frequently there are unreleased tracks included; there is never a tracklist so there is always a frenzy of people trying to figure what hot tracks he’s included in the current Magic Tape that he has released. The best part is all of his tracks (some of which you can download for free) and Magic Tapes (which are all free) are compiled into two easy playlists which you can check out below. Enjoy!
