Whiiite is an emerging dubstep and electro house producer and DJ from Technique Management that is starting to make a name for himself. We recently had the privilege to sit down with Chris White, answering for Whiite, because as he told us, he is ‘very hard to pin down.’ Both artists are extremely unique, and always leave us wanting more. The interview itself was quite enjoyable, as are Whiite’s tracks.
On top of the interview, Whiiite has provided us with a remix pack of four tracks that is just massive. He’s included remixes of tracks by Martin Solveig, Gemini, Knife Party, and Atari Teenage Riot. Each track is fatter than the last, so if you’re a fan of dubstep, wobbles, and bass, then pick it up for free below, and be sure to check out the interview and show Whiiite some love!
First off let me say this interview is being answered by Chris White (CONTROL LA) unfortunately Whiiite rarely does interviews as he only appears at certain moments and is very hard to pin down…
OK, first of all, I have to know more about your Facebook bio: where did you come up with the idea for that?
CW: Ive always felt the best music projects are one’s that hit a variety of artistic mediums… I was in film school before I did music so I def have alot of cinematic and story influence..
Tell me about your wardrobe; where did you get the idea for that and how has it been received?
CW: Whiiite’s style is entirely his own… shout to www.skingraftdesigns.com for Whiiite’s uniform…
How do you prepare for a live set? Do you plan the tracks you will play or adjust to the crowd as you go?
CW: My DJ sets are a bit more freestyled and Im pushing new music that Im into and am very into playing to the crowd… Could be Tech house, electrohouse, prog whatever, but Whiiite on the otherhand plays much heavier usually 90% Whiiite music…
What is one thing people should know about you?
CW: Keep all information regarding Whiiite away from the terrorist cell that seeks his abilities
What has been your favorite performance you’ve given to date and why?
CW: CONTROL LA
You’re all over the place with the genres you play and produce. What do you like so much about blending different genres?
CW: Whiiite will usually just do what he wants in the studio… no genre or tempo boundaries
Who are your musical influences? How have they impacted your style and sound?
CW: Whiiite has all the musical knowledge I do, but seems to pull from the more aggressive side of things… Metal, Drum N Bass, Gangsta Rap… You’ll hear this within Whiiite Music
Tell us about your early days of music. What inspired you to start creating your own?
CW: Ive been in music my whole life, but since the Avalon incident when Whiiite first appeared things have been very different… A change…
What’s next for Whiiite?
CW: Whiiite is a true slave to the music, but he has no choice and we must protect Whiiite at all costs…
