Hey everyone, welcome back to another edition of Tipsy Tree Thursdays! here on on musicyouneed.net. This week definitely features some internet lifestyle, so prepare yourself for awesome. This week I’m featuring another young producer, Mikey F. Mikey used to go under the internet savoy handle, Rawrteh, but has recently changed it to Billy Upskirt. Billy is from British Columbia, Canada and has been producing for just about a year now. He uses FL studio to produce and has a wide variety of EDM to share with you.
The first track is a very new work in progress by Billy titled Future. This is a straight up dubstep track and I love how deep the bass melody is. This is the kind of dubstep I support because it gives you some emotion that you can groove to. Keep an eye on this track because I’m sure there will be many more versions of it while Billy works on it.
My favorite track of Billy’s is unfortunately untitled, but it’s an electro house track that is rocking. It has a great intro with a mini drop that spawns a very melodic synth that is underlined with some dirty bass. The real surprise comes about 2 minutes into the track though. It erupts into a full- blown electro-house track and is unlike anything I’ve heard before. I highly recommend this track, give it a listen below.
I won’t lie, I originally heard of Billy because of his epic hip hop track made out of cat meow, dog barks, and of course gun shots. If this song isn’t the definition of thug life, I don’t know what its. I really like the simplicity of the backing track that gives it that real hip hop feel and he uses the animal noises to lead the melody. Also, a music video is coming soon! Check it out, definitely worth a listen.
The last track I’m featuring today is titled Bypass. It’s a dubstep track that has a fantastic bass like Future does. This is such a head banging track. Check it out below!
Billy is not very involved with live shows yet, but he is collaborating with with another local producer Netick under the alias Broccoli. Expect to see some music from them soon. Also, his EP is being mastered right now, so it should be available soon. Billy is into the moobahton and hip hop beats, so if you are interested in that, keep an eye on Billy Upskirt!
