We just got back from Lightning in a Bottle presented by The Do Lab! What an unbelievably amazing and life changing experience. Four days full of music, art, dance, friends and fun. We want to give a very big thank you to each and every artist, attendee, performer, volunteer, worker, and of course The Do Lab for making this utterly magical event all that it was.
We have a few artists to share with you who threw down awesome sets, but first check out this great recap video of the event made by Matthew Smith!

Star Slinger
Star Slinger is from the UK and produces a sort of chill electro hip hop which is moving to the soul. With his self dubbed genre of Booty LSD, your gonna want to get some of this sound. His set at Lightning in a Bottle was by far my favorite and most unforgettable.

Robot Koch
Next we have Robot Koch and a taste of all of his Albums and EP’s as well as his remix compilations. He has been signed to the Berlin Electronic/Future Bass/HipHop label Project Mooncircle since 2009 and has released 4 Albums: Death Star Droid, Songs For Trees And Cyborgs, Robot Robinson, The Other Side. He has also released two EP’s: Listen To Them Fade, and Death Star Droid Remix EP. Although this Berlin based producer has an international reputation as being “One of Europe`s finest producers of the beat generation“ (Low End Theory), he is much more than just a beatmaker. Dubstep infused electronic hip hop is far too constrained a label to understand what he is all about.
Robot Koch is also the mastermind behind the critically a acclaimed band Jahcoozi (BPitch Control), as well as a collaboration with John Robinson dubbed Robot Robinson. He works as a producer and composer for both indie and major artists worldwide, including the full length debut album Many Places by Graciela Maria in 2010.

Hopscotch
Hopscotch is the new project of San Francisco based singer and electronic music producer Angela LaBaw. In a world where true musicianship and style knows no borders Hopscotch trail blazes her progressive style with tastefully integrated musical genres and trendsetter fashion. It’s no wonder, her mother was belting opera on stage while she was in the womb and she was raised by her father in Seattle during the Grunge era. Since a child, LaBaw has been singing, acting, learning instruments, performing in choirs, plays and musicals.
Grab your chalk, sticks and rocks it’s Hopscotch… the perfect blend of electro-pop glitch, live PA vocals, looping & organic field recordings accompanying sparkle pony antics on stage. Something to be appreciated live, this uniquely inspiring performance and musical experience by Hopscotch is coming to a city near you!
Until you get a chance to see her live, here is a taste of her self titled album as well as a live DJ mix she did of her album You Are So Magical.
